It is a privilege to bear witness to your specific individuation and personal journey. I approach our sessions from a holistic and integrative perspective, working with body-mind-spirit connection. I see myself as a culturally sensitive facilitator of personal growth and transformation. During an upfront guided visualisation process, I weave in breath-work with mindfulness-meditation techniques, which helps ground one in the present moment. Through this, we pay attention to how our thoughts give rise to certain emotions (which we can feel somatically in different parts of our bodies), and, how those emotions can lead to negative behavioural patterns. In this work, we look at adjusting those patterns, those neural pathways in the brain, those consistent negative looping processes that make one sit ruminating about the past; what should have, could have been, or, that have us on high alert living in a future (that doesn’t exist) trying to determine what should become. We learn that we can re-wire our brains & allow our bodies (our sympathetic nervous system) to know it is safe, this connection allows more calm, grounded and positive outcomes in our lives.
Specialisation (but not exclusive to); relationship and marriage counselling, bereavement, anxiety, depression, divorce, mindfulness meditation, life transitions, stress, men’s issues, death acceptance, trauma, loss & grief, workplace challenges, existential crisis, family dynamics, wellness techniques and cognitive behavioural work.
We cannot change our past life experience or necessarily our present reality but, we most certainly can adjust our thoughts and the story we attach to those thoughts. We’ll look at how your past has impacted your present and how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. ‘Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.’ C.G. Jung.
This kind of awareness shows that it isn’t simply fate, nothing is just happening TO us, that we have the agency to change & affect our outcomes. It takes courage to face one’s emotional state and reality head on. This is the first step towards understanding your unique process and meeting you exactly where you are, right here and right now. Reach out, I’ll meet you there.
