I am a Registered Counsellor with a Master’s Degree in Child and Family Studies and over nine years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through a wide range of emotional and life challenges.
For the past seven years, I have worked as a high school counsellor, helping young people navigate academic pressure, anxiety, emotional difficulties, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, identity development, and personal growth. I also provide weekly counselling services at a local primary school, supporting children with emotional, social, behavioural, and developmental challenges. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the unique needs of children and adolescents, as well as the important role that families and support systems play in fostering wellbeing.
In addition to my school-based work, I have facilitated a drug support group, providing both individual and group counselling to individuals affected by substance-use concerns. I have also gained experience in betting-related counselling, supporting individuals and families impacted by problematic betting behaviours.
My counselling approach is primarily person-centred, grounded in empathy, respect, and the belief that every individual has the capacity for growth and positive change. I aim to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and valued. Alongside this approach, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients develop practical tools for managing difficult thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem difficulties, relationship concerns, family challenges, adjustment issues, substance-use concerns, betting-related difficulties, and life transitions. I view counselling as a collaborative process that builds on each person’s strengths and empowers them to develop effective coping strategies and greater self-awareness.
Whether you are facing a specific challenge, navigating a difficult life transition, or simply seeking support and personal growth, I welcome the opportunity to walk alongside you on your journey towards greater wellbeing, resilience, and a more meaningful life.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy swimming, playing music, reading, and spending quality time with my family. These activities help me maintain balance and wellbeing—values that I encourage in the clients I support.
