I spent many years dealing with employee-related psychosocial and emotional problems - among others, family / marital, relationship, financial, chemical dependency, employee- supervisor and other work related challenges. I worked in the mining industry, in both the public and private sectors. These problems affect employees' work performance and can, in many instances, contribute to absenteeism. I also do bereavement debriefing/counselling, which includes debriefing after traumatic incidents such as accidents, attempted suicide, or suicide and robbery. I worked with cancer patients and their families. I am an entrepreneur and spent years assisting other entrepreneurs to deal with stresses accompanying the work they do, including employment-related issues and stress-related compliance issues. I spent years developing and mentoring women entrepreneurs and "wanna bee" entrepreneurs. I have had the opportunity of conducting debriefing to big groups of employees of 15-25 after traumatic incidents such as bank robbery, carjacking, as well as the death of an employee/colleague. I spent many years offering counselling to students and/or especially mothers of students who feel deflated when their children have not realized their dreams, such as failing at school or university. Lastly, I worked as a community developer, and I still get contracted when the need arises. ‹‹‹
