Is it possible to feel like roommates instead of partners... and still fix it? Yes — and you don't have to figure out how alone. I'm Lufuno Ramabulana, a registered Wellness Counsellor (ASCHP Reg 22/1565) specialising in marriage and relationship counselling. I've walked alongside couples through the conversations that feel impossible to start — the resentment that's built up, the trust that's been broken, the distance that crept in without either of you noticing. My work is grounded in trauma-informed and person-centred counselling, and shaped by years of supporting couples and families both locally and internationally. You don't need to have the "perfect" problem to book a session. If you're lying awake wondering whether this relationship can be saved — that's reason enough to start. ‹‹‹

https://headroom.co.za/user/lufuno-lucky-ramabulana/ I start from where you are, letting your own goals and pace guide the direction of our work rather than following a fixed structure. I pay close attention to the wider patterns behind a difficulty — the roles, history, and dynamics that keep showing up — rather than treating each issue in isolation. I stay attentive to how past experiences may be shaping present reactions, and I adjust the pace of our conversations accordingly, never pushing further than feels safe. Alongside this, I draw on specific techniques to help turn insight into practical next steps, and I use focused questioning to help you clarify what you actually want and support your own motivation to move toward it. The mix of these shifts from session to session, based on what will genuinely help at that moment
“ Couples rarely come to counselling fighting about what they think they're fighting about. Beneath most recurring arguments is an unspoken question — "Do I still matter to you?" Once we get to that question, the real work can begin.

If you're here because things between you and your partner don't feel the way they used to — you're not alone, and you don't have to figure this out on your own. I'm Lufuno Ramabulana, a registered Wellness Counsellor (ASCHP Reg 22/1565) with a background in trauma-focused and family and couples counselling. I hold a B.Psych from the University of Venda, and over the years my work has taken me from in-person community counselling to supporting couples virtually across South Africa and internationally. I've sat with couples navigating all kinds of pain — the resentment that builds after years of feeling unheard, the aftermath of betrayal, the quiet distance that creeps in without either person noticing. What I've learned is that most conflict isn't really about the thing you're arguing about. It's about a deeper question — do I still matter to you? — and once we get there, real change becomes possible. You don't need to have the "right" problem or a relationship in crisis to reach out. If you've been wondering whether things could feel different, that's reason enough to start. If this sounds like where you and your partner are right now, I'd be glad to work with you. Book a session below, and let's take that first step together. ‹‹‹
