I came to counselling through over a decade of working with people in difficult moments, first as a academic staff member and volunteer counsellor at a major South African university, then as a counsellor here in Cape Town. What those experiences gave me, more than anything, is a deep respect for how hard it is to ask for help or support, and how much it matters that someone is truly in your corner when you do.

I work across a range of areas (see my website at illuminate-counselling.co.za), and enjoy working with people of all ages, neurotypes, cultures, and walks of life. I’m a person-centred integrative counsellor, which means my approach will differ depending on your needs and context. How we work will be guided by myself but aligned to your desired outcomes and preferences. What stays constant is unconditional acceptance, authenticity, and empathy.
