I support individuals, couples, families, groups navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and questions of identity and belonging. I create a compassionate and reflective space where clients can explore their experiences, gain clarity, and reconnect with their inner resilience. As the founder of AbantuLives, my work is grounded within the African philosophy of Ubuntu — the understanding that our wellbeing and sense of belonging is interconnected and relational with others, nature and our environments. My counselling approach is culturally rooted, collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in respect for your lived experiences. I believe that each person carries their own knowledge systems and resilience. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you explore your experiences and develop healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges. Through this process, the goal is to support you in building psychological resilience, greater self-understanding/awareness, and a stronger sense of balance in your life. There is no pressure to have everything figured out. Counselling is a process, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and it takes courage to begin that process. If you are looking for a supportive space to reflect, heal, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence, I would be honoured to work with you.
